The Micro Mount Extreme Range (MMER) traffic signal preemption transmitter can be mounted in virtually any location on an emergency vehicle. The waterproof design permits exposure to the harshest environments including engine compartment and light bars. For mounting locations that expose the MMER directly to weather or excessive moisture, weather tight connectors should be used. The MMER has a removable mounting plate. When installed with the mounting plate, self tapping sheet metal screws are provided, or use 8-32 machine screws, lock washers and nuts for through bulkhead mounting.

Modes of operation. The MMER has several modes of operation, they are:

Normal Operating Mode. Provides an average range of 1800 feet

Extreme Range Mode. Provides an average range of 2500 feet

Disable Mode. Disables the strobe emitter when the user activates one the disable inputs.

Diagnostic Mode. When wired correctly, the diagnostic mode gives the user feedback on the MMER's operating condition. For more information see Self Diagnostics.

High Temperature Disable Mode. This operating mode disables the emitter when the internal temperature of the MMER gets too high for normal operation and to prevent damage to the unit. Once the unit cools down, the unit will resume operation.
